Dawn Center Fund Raiser...

Donna and I not only have a great love for family, friends, and good food - we love our community too.  We believe in giving back to those through whom we have been so deeply blessed and desire to help make this area a better place for all.

Recently Papa Joe's was honored to host a Wine Event Fund Raiser for the local Dawn Center in our private Capricci Room.  The event was well attended and gave support to an estimable, much needed service right here in our midst. They are a non-profit organization "on a mission to break the cycle of domestic and sexual violence by providing supportive services and leadership to promote social change."  Serving over 1,400 women, children, and men annually through their various programs which include emergency shelter, 24/7 crisis hotline plus outreach services that provide crisis counseling, case management, legal advocacy, support groups, and prevention programs, the Dawn Center is endeavoring to make a difference. Being a non-profit organization, the Dawn Center relies heavily on community support.  From the proceeds of the fund raiser we were so pleased to be able to present a check for $1400.00 to assist them in helping others.  Thank you so much to all who participated in this special occasion to help make it the success that it was.  If anyone has questions about the Dawn Center or would like to make a contribution to them as well, please read the article below for further information.

"Dawn Center provides support services to survivors of Domestic and Sexual Violence in Hernando County.  We have been in the community for almost 30 years and have lots of community support. We want to thank Papa Joe’s for hosting and some of the amazing community partners who supported the Wine Event at Papa Joes. Representative Blaise Ingoglia, Senator Whilton Simpson, The Honorable Judge Hitzman, Board Members of the Greater Hernando Chamber of Commerce, Brooksville City Manager Jennene Norman-Vacha, Chairwoman of the Hernando Republican Party Mary Mazzuco, Serrifin Cigars,  Bene’s Career Academy, local candidates John Alloco, Mike Larocca, and Kristie Ruppe.

It was a wonderful evening of great food, wine, and fellowship. We appreciate all of the community support to make it a successful night. Contact our local hotline for help 24 hours a day at 352-686-8430 and view our web site at www.dawncenter.org  "
